Soloed as level 70 Prot pally with 10/41/10 spec.

Simply get JoW on him and use SoL, BoW on yourself for mana regen, heal when needed and bring a Super Healing pot. Use HoJ, DS and BoP (if needed) wisely, you certainly wont take him down without being prot as he hits for a good 450-500 HP when you have 11k armor.

Definately easier as a Draenei since we get a HoT that ticks for about 210 without +heal, the biggest threat in this fight is to run OOM, but you want to use SoL and JoW for the damage he sends out, else you will run OOM from healing too much, do use Holy Shield since this and Redoubt will help you a lot more than just taking it.

It is a hard fight, but doable.

This NPC is actually quite easy to solo as a warlock, due to him being susceptible to fear. Obviously just DoT him up and fear. Be aware though that if you "subdue" him (Get him below 20%) and he is not near the room he originally began in, you will NOT get credit for him. So as you near 20%, lay off the fears and let him follow you back into the original room, then finish him off.

Took me a couple of tries before I realized what was going on.

Solo'd as a 70 combat rogue in modest blues.

It wasn't too hard a fight at all, especially since i forgot to reapply crippling poison at the start of the fight meaning it ran out halfway, had to bandage twice and drink a major pot, but did it first time.

Opened with evasion, emptied my energy bar and bursted through adrenaline rush to pump out as much damage up front as possible, then the annoying kiting begins. I tried to keep crippling up on him, rush in for a quick SS or gouge and then run out, keep him at a distance and choose your opportunities to get in close to build points, once you have them up, kidney shot and lay down as much damage as possible, rush out, rinse and repeat. I gouged for a first bandage and blinded for a second, once he was down to about 15% or something he goes friendly and rushes back to his starting position.

The only thing to look out for, other than that he hits like a truck on leather (800-1k non-crit, 2k crits), is that if you get too far away he'll cast this lightning thing which'll pull you back into melee range, it does no damage and is his only ranged attack and if you're clever with LoS when he casts it it's no problem.

This quest isn't really meant for level 70s, so the comments saying 'I solo'd him' aren't really relevant. You'd be as well posting that you solo'd Hogger.

As a level 66 prot warrior this is not completeable solo. He hits for between 500 to 600 per secondish. He can be feared, so if you make a bad attempt intimidate will save you but on the whole - you WILL need a healer.

If you're a ranged class thinking of kiting him, he has an ability called magnetic pull which draws you back to him. you can break this with line of site, and he doesn't seem to try it again for a while.

Couple of notes :
He can be stunned, feared, and bled. Disarm does nothing - he has no weapon.
The guards will NOT help you so don't bother kiting him. I tried that.

I just soloed this as a 67 43/4/11 warlock, yes you can fear kite him but the problem is that he attacks fast so you have to literally fear before he gets to you otherwise the 1.5 second fear is a 6 second fear(literally) and he will kill you with 1k hits on cloth.

I opened with instant howl of terror dotted then refeared and continued, when he would pull me in I used deathcoil to make some room but if its on cooldown and you can iHoT then fear and have a potion and a healthstone ready. Also if you need hp bandage in between fears, drain life wont dent 5k missing health in 10 seconds.

Took me 3 trys, 1st I didnt know he attacked that fast and died b4 fear was off, 2nd he died outside the little room and 3rd times a charm.

As of 3.0 you can root him inside as well. Watch out for his magnetic field ability however. Even if you keep him still he will pull you in once or twice before you finish.

Also, you don't need to kill him, like other "convince" quests you only need to get him to about 20% health.

I attempted the quest on my warrior today. make sure to stop auto-attacking after you've 'convinced' him, otherwise his health resets and he starts attacking you again even though he's seemingly friendly.

All of you balance druids out there listen up Sal is very easy soloed at lvl 66. Heres what you do you cast Natures grasp on yourself and talk to him he hits you roots grasp him run to the far end of the bar and make sure theres a table between you because when he pulls you the table will stop it from completing. when ure at a safe distance cast starfire then roots then starfire then roots rinse and repeat till hes at 20% health let him run back and complete the quest

Soloed him as a 66 Demo Warlock. Just tagged him, and then set my Voidwalker on him and began Health Funneling. Improved Health Funnel would be a fantastic talent to have here, even though I didn't. Used Demonic Empowerment as much as possible. I also ran out of health once and had to resort to a Death Coil (and he is, as mentioned before, susceptible to fear abilities).

Easily soloable by Demo Warlocks, with little or no tactics as long as your demon tanks. You don't want 500+ hits (and that's with a Voidwalker's armor bonus!) coming your way.

He speaks in fake Demonic, that is: it doesn't translate. Doing his quest with a demon hunter still has him speak in gibberish, which was pretty disappointing.

If you are looking to finish your Nagrand quests make sure and do this one, even though its in shat it is required.

Due to zone scaling added in Patch 7.3.5 this is ridiculously easy if you don't do Nagrand early, because he's in Shattrah his level is static 68 elite (I was coincidentally 73) so if he proves to be tough you can do it later and still get relevant XP, heck at 79-80 if you want to.

This does not count for the follow-up quests apparently, but those mobs aren't hard and non-elite.
