Good enchant with both agility and a slight speed increase. On many servers though the mats for this will cost upwards of 200g. The primal airs can be farmed in shadowmoon without too much difficulty, but if you aren't an enchanter getting those shards may be tricky. I've seen them for 10-15g each on the AH.

Either that or run some instances and have the enchanter DE bop blues and roll for shards.

Not sure if the "minor speed increase" is worth the cost of gold/time required, because the +6 agility sure isn't worth it by itself. :-)

Just my personal opinion, of course, but I don't think its worth it to put this enchant on anything, let alone what people want for it on the AH (around 700-1000g on my server). Its simply not worth it. The only reason it sells for so much on the AH is its rarity, it surely can't be for the stats it gives when you put the enchant on your boots.

If you think it through Boar's speed (9 stam + speed) is a much better choice if you must have speed on your boots.

Good in PvP, good in certain PvE encounters (Aran).

Not worth it, in terms of material cost, but Speed Increase is the most OP enchant, imo. With so many encounters in BC requiring mobility (lurker, leotheras, al'ar, solarian, vashj, kael'thas, supremus, mother shahraz, illidari council, etc.) you can't afford to be without it. However, Boar's Speed is the most cost effective enchant. Get it; you won't regret it.

The price is definitely steep, though if you spend a few hours you can get the 8 primal airs quite fast. For a druid though, 6 agility is 0,408% dodge / 0,24% crit. And +6 AP in cat form.

However, since you usually only want the run speed enchant for PvP anyways, I'd still suggest Boar's Speed too. 90 health (or 130 in bear form) ftw! ;D

Okay, if you're a survival hunter as I am, then this is a better choice than Boar's. Rogues could go either way, depending on what they need most. But, yea, it gets pricy if you buy your mats.

Well of course it's expensive. But you shouldn't ever buy Primals. Spend a few hours farming those yourself and you've cut your AH cost of this enchant down to about 130g.

Also, don't forget to tip your 'chanter!!

This enchant and Boar's Speed are sweet enchants for any melee dps class

The following is taken from the elitist jerks forums and focuses on enhancement shamans but applies for all melee classes It's a bit confusing, but if you read it carefully it makes sense:

For PvE, either or are going to be big payoffs. Increased run speed is hands down the best enchant you can get for PvE. Derivation:

Let D be your dps without a boot enchant. For the run speed to provide more benefit, we need:
(D+12A)(T-t) < (D+6A)(T-t/1.08)
which simplifies to
T < t/(6A)
where k = 1/1.08. For example, gives A = .16286, and so we have
T < (.07581D + 1.074) t
Using some actual data, a shaman that does betwen 900 and 1000 dps will have T < 76.88t
For 5 minutes, we would need t > 3.90 seconds and for 6 minutes we would need t > 4.68 seconds.

So for a 5 minute fight if you spend roughly 4 seconds moving between adds, running to the boss, etc, Run Speed provides a superior DPS benefit.

I'd say it's worth the mats (especially when the shards become more easily available in 2.4) and run speed is more fun than any other boot enchant anyways.

do not!!! can't stress that enough. come 2.4 this is a BOP formula off of kael! don't know the DR atm.. but i was about to throw 1250 into buying this (even though i want boar's speed more and can't find it on the AH ever.) and i certainly won't now.

Dropped for me in Nagrand, Kil'sorrow Fortress from a Kil'sorrow Deathsworn. After asking in trade veryone said that it was worth maybe 300g. I then sold for 1250g on the AH so if you do grab one go ahead and mark it up. Received lots of tells after it was on the AH, could probably have sold for more.

Yeah, like the boar's speed this is really only useful in a pvp situation, where the extra speed is useful such as kiting, or catching up to those pesky kiters. Otherwise for PvE and end game raiding there are much better enchants for your boots such as Dexterity, Surefooted or Fortitude.

Dropped in The Botanica for me. The bit with the lasher mobs directly after the first boss. I forget which mob it was that dropped it :/

I just got this for 125g buyout in the AH. I'll try to re-sell for 600g until I reach 360 enchanting. If it hasn't sold by then, I'll train it.

For those who would be wondering, this enchant, and the boar's one as well, do NOT stack up with the Arathi Basin PVP boots that already have a run speed on-equip bonus on them. I ran the length of SW Keep barefooted, from entrance to the very back wall of the Battlemasters room, at 35seconds, then simply the pvp boots at 30-31sec, and the pvp boots with the boar speed enchant on them clocked exactly the same as it did without the enchant, so both do not stack.

It's run speed, and yes it's 8percent that I know of, it just dropped of a fire elem while I was about to kill myself while farming primals and then that was pretty much the highlight of my day...Good luck, maybe the enchanters will eventually get it, that or someone in your guild will

Been thinking about this one, and, for Warriors, just so you know, the crit 6 agil adds is approximately 0.21%. Not particularly sure of the dodge it adds, but I've found stacking agility for dodge on a Warrior is like stacking spirit on one for regen. Not exactly worth it.

The difference between Boar's Speed and Cat's Swiftness: 90 HP or 0.21%. Your choice.

EDIT 1: Forgot my point-- the point is, if you're in full A1 gear, or a mix of A1, A2, and A3, you're gonna be heading quite a way's above the point where you're going to be worrying about your health.

I had one drop off of a talbuck in Nagrand. i gave it to a guy who will give me the enchant for free. I had no idea what it was worth, lol. We will see if i get the enchant or not.

This enchant is nothing really to get excited about. Lets see you could get a slight run speed chant for a radiant shard, lesser nether and aquamarine which would cost you peanuts. Tack on another (zomg are u ready?) 6agi and all of the sudden its outrageous mats.

Be realistic, there are far better enchants out there - this ones for the birds. Unless they patch it to +12agi - dont waste your time.

I just paid 500g for this and I'm not sure it will turn out to be worth it. I guess I can afford it. I'm still saving for epic flying. The thing is speed increase isn't really good for anything but PVP and I don't know how in demand it will be. Wish it were Boar's Speed. The people who would get the most use out of it are hunters and rogues in 10-19 WSG with the fishing boots, which can be enchanted with this. We'll see how it goes.

Got it off a Eclipsion Archemage when I was trying to grind out the greater arcane resist enchant from them. Not what i was looking for, but heck at least it's something. Going back for another day of grinding them for that freakin enchant.

Ok so I noticed running MgT over and over, I did it normal mode and the engineering recipe for health potion injector dropped from kael'thas, and it was BoP and only visible to the engineers, and then today on heroic mode, Kael'Thas dropped cat's swiftness and I saw that it was BoP and only visible to me, the enchanter. This coming only a week or so after I paid 500g for it. Sigh.

Alright, mine dropped during the quest "Skywing". Never thought, that this thing is worth 500g+. Well, I sold it for 600g buy-out. Guess this baby goes easily on many servers for 800-1000g (even when it's not worth it). Hope this comment helps, to find a estimated price! :)

Just thought I'd post a few things to clarify:

1) Does not stack with any other run-speed enchancements. This includes Trinkets/Gems/Other Enchantments or any other Talents that state otherwise.

It does however, increase your stealthed speed. For a Rogue with 5/5 Camo, the your stealth speed will be reduced to 93% of Normal Movement speed.

2) The speed increase is 8%

3) Occassionally makes you strut around and purr

when you think about it, the AB +speed boots, and a +5 agility enchant are almost equal to this (-1 agility) but MUCH cheaper. sort of makes this one sound not so great.
